The label production system
manufactured by A B Graphic International Ltd specifically for Impact
Labeling is comprised of an OMEGA SR 330 DC Slitter Inspection
Rewinder and a VECTRA 4 Spindle Turret Rewinder, Model LCTR330-4.
The OMEGA includes pneumatic unwind mandrel with auto-brake tension control,
inspection table with master roll splice, electronic web guidance, scissor slitting,
label in/out selection, total and batch count, and twin rotary die base with
matrix stripping. Additionally the Omega converting section includes two adaptors
so that existing die cutting tooling can be utilised. The VECTRA turret rewinder
completes the automated plain label production system by incorporating four air
mandrels, hot melt core gluing and auto roll eject mechanism.
Comments Mark Hyde, Group Product Manager for A B Graphics International, “The
management of Impact Labeling Systems are very serious in their
intent to become the dominant supplier of thermal transfer labels
in their area. Our design team worked closely with their personnel
to insure the OMEGA and VECTRA combination would accurately meet
their expectations at a reasonable cost.
States Richard Fox, Managing Director of Impact, “ This wholly
automated production line dedicated primarily to high volume, plain
white labels for the thermal transfer printing market will automatically
make and rewind finished rolls in-line. We believe that this will
be the only system in the Country doing this operation in one phase.
For this reason, along with our policy of maintaining low over-heads,
we can offer a cost-effective service with on going cost reduction
programme's for our customers.
This latest arrival will complement our existing stable of flexographic
printing presses. Having signed the contract with A B Graphic International Ltd
at Label Expo in Brussels, we are very impressed with their delivery
schedule that was exactly 4 month as agreed. We took delivery in
Mid January and are in the process of transferring many of our
plain jobs and certain high volume pre printed jobs onto the new
system” added Mr Fox.
