NEW LASER LABEL DIE CUTTING SYSTEM FROM A B Graphic International Ltd TO LAUNCH AT LABELEXPO - STAND 939
A B Graphic International Ltd will showcase the latest developments in its Omega and Vectra range of converting, slitting, rewinding and web inspection machines and will launch the Sabre Extreme MK 2, a new laser label die cutting unit.
Optimised for digitally printed webs Sabre Extreme offers many benefits over conventional die cutting.  No tooling is required. The die line is simply downloaded from the pre-press department, the image stepped across the web, the power rating selected and Sabre Extreme is ready to start producing.

The new laser die cutting technology offers on-demand label converting without the expense and wear and tear of handling and storing conventional tooling. Other benefits include job changes in seconds with minimal material waste, real time tracking to ensure perfect register of print to cut, storing of up to 16 jobs on press, ability to kiss cut / through cut and perforate and long life lasers – typically up to 20,000 hours MTBF.

Sabre Extreme can be seen at the A B Graphic International Ltd booth on the Omega Digicon, a versatile converting machine for digitally printed webs. The company’s Digicon HS Converter complete with Sabre Extreme laser label cutting will also show case with the Indigo print engine on the Hewlett-Packard booth.

The Digicon features Servo driven web tension control and permits a wide range of substrates to be converted from self-adhesive labels to folding cartons, shrink films, inmould labels and even novelty items such as fridge magnets and mouse mats. The Digicon can be supplied with hot foil stamping, varnishing, die cutting and slitting and rewinding capabilities. An optional UV, flexographic print station permits varnishing, wet laminating or cold foiling. Other options include self-wound over laminating and over laminating with carrier, super-varnishing, in-feed nip modules, unwind for off-line use, daylight correction system, hot foil stamping and guillotine sheeter. The company works in close cooperation with Hewlett-Packard and has many worldwide Digicon installations running with the Indigo web stream presses.

Configurations also on show will include the Omega converting system with new stripping tower for faster speeds, FleyeVision inspection camera and Vectra turret rewinder representing the cutting edge of turret rewinding technology designed to rewind from a completely glueless start.
